I love Jeffrey Campbell shoes. They haven't let me down in quality, comfort or fashion-wise. Yes, some may not be practical and are works or art but when you find a pair that you love. Go for it! Have a look at his catalogue.

A little about me...

Since I've starting blogging, I've been checking out other people's blogs.  I've noticed many capture moments of their week or day on their iPhone or are taking photos with their own camera for their blog.  Me..... most of my moments involve the children in the classroom.  Yes,  I'm an Early Childhood teacher and teach 3 and 4 year olds.  Since the parents are not in the classroom with us,  I record the day's events and then send home emails detailing what went on.  I try to focus on the process rather than the product since the later is what the parents receive.  Here are some of those moments. (faces will never be shown)

As you can see, many moments involve art.  I'm a strong advocate of teaching fine motor strength (you know, those muscles that help a children become comfortable with writing) through fine arts.  The classroom involves lots of clay, mixing of colors, using real paintbrushes from the art store, cray-pas, pastels, etc.  And colored pencils.  We try to stay away from markers at this age since one does not need to apply pressure to make a mark.  Try holding a marker at the very tip with two fingers, you'll see what I mean.  The last photo is a current project we're working on- stained-glass mosaic.  

But here are some other photos that I took around the holidays, using my friends film camera. (I'm looking into getting one for myself.)

Here's one with my Zorki.  A Russian film camera from 1956-ish.  It took a couple of trial and error rolls of film before I figured out how to use it.  But I love it! 

This one was an accident.  The film came off the reel inside the camera, so 4 pictures were on each film segment!  Which is not something you can do with a Zorki.  

This is a church located in East Falmouth, Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Brassai

I just wanted to share some work by the photographer Brassai.  I came across him on The Sartorialist's blog www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com.  Extremely interesting and I've already fallen in love with his work. Here are some photos that caught my eye.
